Privacy Policy

• Account information: name, email address, and profile photo when you sign up or sign in.
• Content you create: QR codes, barcodes, titles, notes, and any logo images you attach to them.
• Usage & device data: basic app analytics, crash logs, and advertising identifiers (see Advertising section below).

• To provide core app functionality — generating, scanning, and managing your QR codes and barcodes.
• To sync your saved codes across your devices when you're signed in.
• To show relevant ads and measure ad performance (see below).
• To communicate important account or service updates.

Your codes are stored locally on your device and, when signed in, securely synced to our cloud database (Google Firebase). Logo images you add to a QR code are stored the same way.

SmartQR uses Google AdMob to display advertisements within the app. AdMob may collect and use data — such as your advertising ID, device information, approximate location, and app usage activity — to serve ads, including personalized ads, and to measure ad performance.

You may see a consent form when you first open the app (in regions where required, e.g. EEA/UK) allowing you to choose whether ads are personalized.

• You can delete any saved code at any time from the History screen.
• You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us below.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's ad settings or Google's Ads Settings page above.

We do not sell your personal data. Information is shared only with the service providers listed above (Firebase, AdMob) strictly to operate and monetize the app.

SmartQR is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
